Dog Tricks: Three Steps For Teaching Your Dog To Spin

If your dog’s name is Hurricane, this would be an appropriate trick. Even it that’s not his name, teaching your dog to spin can be a fun trick to teach:

1) Come armed with treats
Like with pretty much all tricks, this one will need a little bribery with the help of treats. Make sure you have some with you.

2) Like a magic trick
Just like a magician, you will be pulling a treat out from behind your dog’s ear – sort of. Hold the treat behind his ear and make sure he’s aware of it.

3) Spin cycle
Now that your dog is aware of the treat, circle the treat in a place your dog can follow it while you say the command “spin.” After having him chase the treat for two rotations, give it to him. With repetition your dog will eventually get it. Don’t do this too much in one day though. Dogs can get dizzy just like us.
